In this post, a preamplifier circuit is designed using transistor. Here a microphone is used to receive the audio signal. An NPN transistor is used to amplify the signal a little amount. The circuit is very easy and simple to implement.
The circuit is based on the basics of transistor amplifier. Let's see how to do that. First see the list of required element.
Equipment List:
The circuit is based on the basics of transistor amplifier. Let's see how to do that. First see the list of required element.
Equipment List:
- Q1= Any NPN transistor (BC548 or 2N3904);
- R1=R2=10k ohms;
- R2=100k ohms;
- C1=C2= 100nF or 220nF;
- Microphone or Electret Condenser.
- 6V or 9V regulated DC voltage.
Now with the above listed equipments, implement the circuit according to the given schematic below,

* Connect the microphone negative terminal with the ground. Other wise you will not here any sound at the output.
