Emergency Mobile Phone Charger Using 1.5V battery

This post helps you to charge up your mobile phone in the absence of electricity. Actually it is a booster circuit. In this circuit 1.5V DC voltage is converted to 4-5V DC voltage.The circuit is simple and easy to implement.
Circuit Diagram:

Fig: Booster Circuit For 1.5V to 5V

Components:
  1. V1= 1.5V battery;
  2. R1= 1k ohm;
  3. Transistor: BC 547 or Equivalent;
  4. D1= 1N4007 or equivalent;
  5. D2= Zener diode 5V;
  6. C1= 1 uF 16v;
  7.  Toroid inductor(see notes for details)
*Notes: For Red circled portion a toroid inductor will be needed. 2 wires should be parallelly  wired. 10 turns will be needed. Two leads (along with each other) of one side should connect to battery positive(+) terminal.Rest of the two leads should connect to the Base (through 1k resistor) and the collector separately (one with base and another with collector).
